Steroids, Baseball and Congress

International intelligence sources have confirmed that Osama Bin Laden and Al-Quaeda are on steroids. Now maybe Congress will take time from their busy schedules to address these security problems.

Get your priorities straight. What's more important, steroids or FISA? The Patriots hidden camera or islamic terrorism??

The only thing more stupid and waistful was Bill Clinton, Sex, and Congress. Talk about waisting our tax dollars instead of working on something constructive.

Wow, what a boring thread! No controversy!!! I'm in total agreement!! A :edit: waste of time and money with so many more important issues facing the country!

My feeling is, if the fans want to pay top dollars to watch over paid, muscle bound, druggies with brain cell loss, what business is it to me or the over paid people we pay for in Congress. I think our money would be much better spent helping people both in this country and around the world who need a hand-up not a "handout". :beer3:

So far, I've found one plus to the whole steriod/Congress mess .............................

It's something we all agree is a total waste of time, effort and money.

That's amusing. Congress has its current piņata in the steroids mess and all eyes are on them as these kids try to break it open.

Now if we could extrapolate the subject of the topic of agreement into doing something to express to our so called REPRESENTATIVES that they are in fact NOT doing the bidding of their constituency.....because they do not get feedback.

The few days per year they do work is on nothing of substance.....billions of $$$ for the so called earmarks......and needed programs result in budget cuts....their scheduled vacations take precedent over National interests.....

What does it take to inspire, we the people, to do something??

Oh well once again :edit: in the wind!!!

Bille, I think you're basically preaching to the choir. Obviously, those who post in the political forum are NOT the silent majority. If we were, we wouldn't be opening our mouths. You can go on and on about the silent majority but you're doing it to a group of people that are politically active and informed.

I've spoken to both Ms. Boxer and Ms. Feinstein, as well as Congressman Miller, about the absurdity of Congress investigating the steroid mess a few times. I suggested that rather than wasting money on the hearings, that money could be better spent on ads telling young people the dangers of 'roids -- from 'roid rage to liver failure and death. I suggested that that time be used to find some answers to some real problems such as health care, true job assistance for parolees, etc. I'm sure others here have spoken to their representatives in one form or another about issues they feel are important.

RedWitch, I appreciate the choir. It tends to be representative of the way issues get discussed whether + or - or up or down or side ways....they get discussed.

I just keep on hoping that we all take up the task of beating on the subject to our friends and family until one day something happens.

My poor child is a very non-political creature. She would LOVE to be part of the silent majority. I explained that was impossible, especially if she was my child. Things don't change if you don't speak up.

I have been threatened with duct tape by my friends, so I understand your desire but ........
