Publix Scale Location?
 

I had noticed awhile ago that at least one of the TV Publx stores had a large scale by the front door that you could stand on and get your weight. Anyone know which Publix?

Every PUBLIX I've been in has those scales.

Have even seen people weighing their luggage on the scales!

The Winn Dixie in Spanish springs has one too. I like to stand on it and yell "liar". Good idea weighing your luggage there before a flight. I never thought of that.

The Publix in Mulberry has one.

Unless public scales are tested by a state/local office of weights & measures - displayed weight is a guesstimate at best. Look for a seal on the scale to find out the date of the scale's last certification. Without that - don't rely on it for weighing much - especially luggage!

Our former NJ DIrector of W & M, who used to travel extensively, had the benefit of his office for weighing his bags. And when airport scales varied from his measurements he would have the counter rep weigh each bag on at least two other scales [besides check for the state insp sticker]...always got 3 different readings...and never had to pay for extra weight as the clerk initially wanted to charge him for!
