Daytona Beach - Oceanwalk area restaurant recommendations?
 

We are going to Daytona Beach this weekend and staying in the Oceanwalk area. Any recommendations for restaurants nearby?

Joe's Crab Shack at the end of the pier is great.

Try the Hyde Park Prime Steakhouse...a little pricey, but very good...

We like Bubba Gumps. The entire atmosphere is taken from the movie Forrest Gump. Mostly shrimp dishes.

Personally I had a terrible experience at Joe's Crab Shack but that was maybe a month after they opened. Awful service has a way of unveiling overpriced mediocre food while if the service was good everything would have tasted better and more worth the cost.

I agree Ocean Deck is a must if you are visiting that area...as a bar. Lot's of fun dancing on the beach but I would never eat their food and there is always sand everywhere.

Hyde Park Prime Steakhouse is inside the Hilton where I recently stayed. Didn't try it but heard great reviews. Upscale.

Bubba Gump's is fun and good if you like shrimp. It's gimmick is the theme not the menu so much.

A few months ago I had a $12 burger at Square 1 it was ok.
A week later I was at Ocean Deck and ordered a $10 burger. It was huge and had lots of bacon and fresh lettuce all the good stuff. It was fantastic.

Wow! I love Ocean Deck for their bands and stuff but was always wary of eating there because of all the sand! Next time I have to try the burger.

Thanks for the suggestions. We did lunch at Joe's Crab Shack - had good service and good food. Dinner at Hyde Park - pricey as noted before. Steaks were good. Next time will try Ocean Deck.
