Okay, admit it. How many of you had a similar experience? You're on the Beltway or stuck in traffic somewhere, or you're in a meeting with a total anole and you suddenly ask yourself, "Why am I doing this?".

Good one, Uncle Muncle....

I still have occasional flashbacks to sitting in DC/Beltway traffic going to work...but, then, I slap myself and say "hey, I'm retired and living in Paradise"....this is sooooo much better.

So I'm sitting in this meeting in May '07 after just returning to work from a 7 month medical leave, and I'm looking around the room at the jerk who is now my new boss (restructured while I was out on med leave) and thinking, what in God's name am I doing here??? I've been doing this stuff for 42 years and these corporate know-nothings just started - they can't shine my shoes!!

So I ask, "do you have a minute in my office, to my boss?" ..... the greatest day of my life...
"I'm giving you my retirement notice as of Sept 1, 07, which is my 66 birthday."

God bless and have a good life - I'm headed for TV,,,, yeah!! 040 040

Thank you Nonie and Barb and all my new female best friends,

Yes, I am glad I'm here too. Not only in TV (which is the most wonderful place) but also because I still walk on this earth and can still laugh and dance at KB's and the TOTV monthly lunches and hopefully will do so for a long while.

Yes, that day in May '07, was the turning point of my life. Thanks for letting me get serious.
