Beach Hotel recommendations
 

Hi, looking to stay between Clearwater and Treasure Island for a few days in the middle of July. Would like to stay right on the beach and close to places to eat. Any recommendations or suggestions? Never been down there before.

Sheraton Sand Key is very nice it's in Clearwater on the beach and close to a lot of places to eat

Used to live 3 condos down from the Sheraton Sand Key. Very nice place. Would walk the beach and to go over for breakfast. Our favorite place on Sand Key is Backwaters. If it's still there, it is in the little strip center across the street from the Sheraton. The best lobster bisque ever! Sigh. Oh, how I miss living there.

We just stayed in Treasure Island in April and rented a nice unit in the South Beach Condo's. They are privately owned and I found mine on ****.com (Vacation Rentals By Owner). Balcony overlooked the gulf and in the morning, we had coffee on the balcony and watched all the boats come out of John's Pass. Great location, walkway in front of condo's which goes for blocks and of course, the beach. Check it out at the following link.

Page Terrace in Treasure Island-stay there twice a year

I agree completely. We had our daughter's wedding there. For the last 15 years she and her husband return on their anniversary. My wife and I have stayed several times. First class.
