Black panther

Was at the mailbox in Glenbrook today and all the talk was about a woman who took her little dog out at 3am to potty and there was a black panther, the dog took off after the panther and.......he is gone of course. But a black panther at the Glenview CC??? Has anyone heard this?

How about the dog saw a black house cat and chased it?

Don't know what the dog chased, but it was not a black panther, as they do not exist.

Think they are cougars and they certainly exist in Florida, so do panthers but not black ones, along with black bears, foxes, etc etc etc

When I was 14 yr old and lived in Miami Springs, Florida, that would be 1953, I was at the local shopping area right across the Miami River and from Hialeah. I saw a pick up park right in front of where I was standing and he had a dead black panther draped over the front fender lodged between the head light and the engine cover. I was shocked and will never forget that beautiful dead animal. I guess he was legal in killing it at the time. Since then I have done research and the black panther is actually a jaguar. It looks black but if the hair is pushed aside, the under hair has spots. They used to be common in the southern part of North America and Mexico and on south. But they are gone from this area and scarce in general in this hemisphere. They do no exist in Africa or those continents.

I saw a black panther once, it was either Eldridge Cleaver or Huey Newton, I can't remember now which one.:police::beer3:

A panther is like a leopard
except it hasn't been peppered
should you behold a panther crouch
prepare to say ouch
better yet, if called by a panther
don't anther.

These seem to be mutants.
