We are very excited to visit the Villages again next week (21st). I got my checkbook and umbrella at the ready.

I was surprised to see a house we toured and loved last October (not the location we wanted though and we weren't ready to buy anyway, but it sure was gorgeous) was still on the market only the price had increased substantially.

Hubby is a very good golfer but I understand he can't book in advance. Any tips on getting tee times and best courses to play?

If your husband can get his guest id(from renter?), he can get starting time reservation request set, one week in advance I think but not sure...Check with the Tee Time Reservation Office...Regarding home prices, yes, they are on the increase....Our home value increased $100,000 from last year, Phewww! Hope your visit is fun filled!

If you are coming on LPP visit, there are courses and times set aside for guests. The tee-time office will make your tee times after you arrive. If you are renting your id's aren't valid until your projected arrival date so you can't make tee times ahead of time.

Get yourself a village sales person. They can help make golf happen.

AND don't worry. They won't hound you.

You can call a course the day of to see what they have available

The sales office will take care of golf tee times. He will get the best times as a Lifestyle perk.

Do yourself a favor and contact a non-Villages realtor as well. The Villages agent cannot show MLS listings and the MLS agent cannot show Villages listed homes. ERA Tom Grizzard Agency is good.

Check out preowned homes. Lots of advantages. Much lower or NO bond. You can negotiate price. Many things included you do not have to buy separately. Mature landscaping. No surprises of what might be built next to you.
