"River Rock" or "Pebble" flooring

Looking for a contractor who installs lanai flooring called "river rock" or "pebbles" flooring. Not sure if these names are correct. Have friends who had "Pebbles and Pavers, LLC" install theirs back in 2006 but website is no longer functional. Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks!

Mid State Stone / 352-245-1990 or Matt Allums / 352-253-0622
We love our Chattahoochee Riverrock floor in our lanai

Matt did our lanai last week. Great job. We had two estimates, Matt was $125 cheaper.

Anyone had cleaning issues with this stuff. Seems like the texture would make cleaning difficult.

Matt did ours lanai and outside concrete pad, we love it.

It is sealed with urethane so cleaning is just a wet Swifter.

It is water permeable, and very smooth to the touch. Stays remarkably clean.
We have had ours for 3 years and I have never had to scrub.

Coffee with lots of cream and sugar was spilled on it- the coffee ran through, but there was still the residue of cream and sugar. A douse of soapy water and a microfiber cloth was all that was needed.

If you go to the top of this forum page and click on the search feature, then type in Chattahoochee, you will find a lot of posted recommendations to research.

Thank you ! Just had Matt Allums do our enclosed lanai - loving the new look. Would recommend his work, may have him back to do our front walkway. His number is : 352-253-0622. Covering is called: "Chattahoochee RiverRock" and he has 8 or 10 color combinations.

I agree, Matt Allums is top notch, professional, dependable, and extremely reasonable. His phone # is 352-253-0622. He initially did one of our lanais and we had him return to do our wrap around concrete patio. We love it!

Chattahoochee

I always laugh when I read about chattahoochee. In 1990, when we moved to Miami (from NJ), a co-worker was moving there also. We both used the same realtor and were looking in the same area. Our friends found a home first and about a week later we found a home we liked two blocks away. The flooring on there lanai/pool area (by the way, even though the pool portion of the area was screened, it is all called a lanai in that area of Florida....the term "bird cage" is not used) was cool deck while our lanai/pool flooring was chattahoochee. Our realtor told us there flooring was "far superior" to ours. After that, we always felt like we got the "cheap-o" stuff!!

When I bought my home in Tampa the screen-enclosed pool deck was river rock. I found that it got very hot in the afternoon sun.

I finally replaced it with Cool Deck, and I find it both cooler and more attractive. It can be re-painted in a different color if you want to change your decor.

I agree with the realtor; Cool Deck is far superior to river rock.

And, when we moved from Miami to Tampa, we had cool deck...no more "cheap-o"!!
