The long neck women
i decided to remove
|
Just curious ...why did you post this...have you seen them in person?
A number of years ago we were in Thailand and from Chai Mai we were to fly to Mae Hong Son on the Burmese Border to visit a village to see the long neck ladies but the weather was so bad we never made it. This is their culture and what may seem strange to us is what they are brought up to do. |

I agree. Seems like a strange posting from out of nowhere. There isn't anything unusual or strange about that tradition; it's part of their culture. |
I wonder what their culture would think of hair spray, lipstick, eyeliner and mascara, high heels, girdles, bikini waxes, pierced ears, nail polish, panty hose, perfume, etc.

Think the OP maybe saw it on the Internet and thought it was amazing. At least amazing was in the post.
The Internet has help me see and learn of other cultures and traditions - which is amazing! |
See this post - seems like OP may have taken a trip there and is sharing pictures -

Looks like a practice that might end soon. |
Yes, we visited the village outside Chiang-mei. This past November. Wonderful trip

Sorry. I am new here and thought this was a place to share photos that you took. This was a photo from our vacation.
