Preview visit locations

For my preview visit in April -

I have not been told where it is, only the type (designer model).

Was anyone else who took the preview visit informed about exact location prior to arriving? I'd like to do some preliminary map checking.

Also - If you rented a golf cart was it electric? And if so were you able to just plug it into the preview home in some way? I assume the give gas carts instead.

Thanks - Russ

Hi Russ, I know a little. We were there in January for our preview. They did not tell us where until we arrived for sign in. Thankfully we were put up in the cottages behind the sales office. Beautiful set up. Our liaison set up our golf cart rental. Gas driven, $18 per day. He said you can drive to Orlando and back, so you don't need to worry about gassing up while you are there. Make sure you take the trolley tour if you haven't as yet. Hope you have a great time, I know we did. Johnny

That must be the policy my uncle and aunt are arriving tonight and they were only told the type of home not location. They are meeting with sales rep tomorrow for trolley tour etc. I believe all of the cart rentals are gas.

We did preview May 07 and we were told only type of house not the location. Actually we weren't too far from Lake Sumter downtown area. We did rent the gas cart and drove all over the area all the way up to post office across from Spanish Springs. Never filled the cart. When we turned it in we had about 1/2 tank or more of gas left. House was nice to have because of kitchen and laundry during out stay. We spent 1 week down near Naples and the other week in TV. You'll have a great time.

We'll be visiting in May and were not told location either. I requested a designer home since that's what we are interested in. We paid for designer home (nightly rate) but do not know location. I was told we will find out when we check in.

Barbara and I stayed in one of the cottage's by the lake this past January. Our backporch overlooked the water and the bridge coming into LSL. When we checked out I told the rep if I were a millionaire I would pay $1,000,000.00 for that cottage right then and there. He told me that is about what it would cost. I do not think they will be selling them anytime soon.

Russ, you might be staying in my house. TV Property Management manages the house, and they use it for the monthly rentals Jan, Feb & March then for the previews which are usually a few days to a week.
It shouldn't matter to you at all where it is - you'll have a great time. Enjoy!

Yes, the two times we came for a preview before buying, we stayed in the cottages because we said we were interested in buying a designer home. One cottage was more beautiful than the other. We did ask if they were for sale and yes, they would be about 800,000 and up our realtor said. Obviously we did not buy one, but I love our house. And with the coupons for dinners and lunches, the movies, etc. I think these previews are fabulous. We also took the Trolley, very informative.
