This lion is not sleeping.

My mother was a avid collector of lions and this drawing is amazing. I sent a PM to the artist and requested her permission to copy for a book I plan to make in memory of my mother for our children with her favorite quotes, items from her journals, and her words of wisdom. I have been granted permission to use for my personal use.

Actually I did spend a night in Trinidad, Colorado back around 1984. They talked about it a bit in the Denver newspapers so I was curious what the town was like. Their phone book looked quite normal. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trinidad,_Colorado

When driving to Reno from Denver or Reno to Denver various times when I was at the University of Denver Graduate School of Librarianship and Information Management I would often just point the car in a direction and see where the roads took me. The University of Denver was on a Quarter System so I had the opportunity of driving and forth several times.

I have two lions at home that I keep in my garage for protection. They are very quiet and obedient. Sometimes I almost forget they are there.

It's sad that I can't let them out in the yard because it's not allowed.
