Village Transportation SOLD
 

I've heard The Village Transportation Company has been sold to a bus company from Orlando. Supposedly they take over August first. Has anyone else heard about this?

It has been sold. One of my good friend's husband works for them. No details yet.

The Villages Transportation was sold to another entity. This entity must have sold it again if this is true. I heard they were struggling. No one ever does it as well as The Villages. Close but no cigar.

I can't remember exactly WHEN The Villages Transportation was no longer owned by the developer but it was sold at some time.

the village van siphoned off just enough business to dilute the shuttles profit margin. too bad because the shuttle is a great service.

To All: Are the owners of The Villages selling off to private companies some of the services they once provided?

Such as they have done with the bus company.

And the entertainment department. And the furniture company.

And the lighthouse restaurant

When was that sold?

And Cane Garden restaurant.

And the exec courses north of 466.

And Southern Lifestyles!

I think it has been over a year now.
