One month and 5 days after Fumar reported his first hole in one after 45 years of golf....drumroll...... I had one :#1: this morning!!!! This, after a scant 8 months of playing this silly game. It actually was a good shot and not pure, pure luck.

Sandhill, #6, 61 yards (ok, so it was short), #9 hybrid, pretty pink ball

Yippee!!! Here I thought I would have to wait til I was 98 (using Fumath) to experience this. Thank you, Fumar, for inspiring me. I am now a member of Fumarica!!!

Fortunately, it was at 8:30 in the morning and I played with 3 strangers (who were wonderful and as happy as I was)...so, didn't cost me any expensive scotch.

A wonderful feeling, nonetheless.

That's a wonderful little hole that I invariably misjudge. It is ideal for an ace in that you have a clear view of the ball all the way into the hole. Must have really been thrilling to watch it go in. :hot: :2excited: :hot:

yes it was a thrill...

Starts with...
"hmm, that's a good shot....."
then, "gee it's heading for the hole"
then, "holy cow, it's IN" All 4 of us watched it hit, roll 6-10 ft or so and drop right in the middle of the cup.

Twas a nice view.

Thank you and all the others for your congrats. No free round of drinks at Crispers, though.

I agree Ace Hardware is amazing, the staff is great and there is always someone available to help.

Oh, whoops, sorry V7, just realized this is about golf. Congratulations! Must have been a wonderful experience. You are definitely our :#1: TOTV woman golfer.

Well sorry to say I can't join you in the hole in 1 club 07 although I did get a par on #6, but that's a far cry from a hole in 1. But I must say if and when I do get one drinks are on me for a month.
