Jerky Motor
 

My 2001 Club Car DS 48V cart is jerking/stuttering badly on startup in forward and reverse. Feels like the motor is not operating on all windings. Sometimes the cart will not start in forward unless I first put it into reverse. Again, sounds like a bad winding. Have I lost a motor winding? Or is the problem motor brushes, motor controller, throttle rheostat or something else?

It is most likely a low battery voltage problem. But I can not count out the motor.
We would have to check it out to be certain
