need help with FINALE software

I am reproducing old chord lead sheets for my musical, and I need some help getting started with FINALE program. I just need a lesson in 101.
A friend sent me a pdf file and I don't know how to get in to correct it-
not just the notes, but the lyrics also.

ANY suggestions?
