Superficial Radiotherapy

Has anyone had Superficial Radiotherapy (SRT) for the treatment of non-melanoma skin cancer? If so, can you comment on your experience and results?

I just finished my 20th treatment and was very pleased and so was the dermatologist. Mine was a basal cell on my nose. All of my treatments were on schedule and very fast. If my appt. was at 8:15, I was out the door by 8:25 every single time. Very painless and only a slight redness from the radiation. Most people wouldn't have even noticed it. I go back in 2 weeks for a check but the doctor saw me after my last treatment and he was very pleased.

Is this procedure covered by Medicare and most secondary insurance companies?

I was told it was covered by my Medicare Advantage Plan.
