shorted out charge receptical
 

As I was putting my 2010 ez go rxv together after painting a bolt fell into the charging receptical and and arced hard but brief.. Nothing works now...what more than likely did I burn up? If the controller is ruined should I go back oem or is now the time to upgrade or go aftermarket? I am fine with stock performance..just want most economical replacement if needed. Thanks. P.s. already replaced the solenoid.
Also is special equipment needed to replace the controller?
