Ipanema

Many of you know about Brazilian Steakhouses which offer an overload in meat, be it it beef, pork, lamd, fowl, or ???".

A party of us had a celebration at Ipanema [2023 S. Pine (Hwy 27), Ocala] last night. Absolutely a wonderful experience, but you really must be prepared for 1] more meat at one sitting than you've ever experienced before, and 2] virtually no veggies accompanying, due to the preponderance of meat.

And, including tip and 2 glasses of wine the tab of $67 for one is a rather stiff hit. Still, for a really special event, worth every penny.

Ipanema in Ocala frequently has deals on Groupon for 50 percent off.

Yes, it definitely is over loading on the meats but the salad bar area is also exceptional. Lunchtime is less expensive and you will not be eating dinner that day.

Did you make a few trips to the Salad Bar? More veggies there than you can shake an asparagus at.

Yes, had a nice plate from the salad bar, but was afraid I wouldn't be able to eat all the meat if I had more! :D

I love that restaurant. My favorite is the pineapple. Mmmm I've eaten lunch there a few times and it is also exceptional. I've also eaten there and ordered only the salad/pasta bar. I was sad because I didn't get the grilled pineapple so for just a couple of dollars more, I always order the entire thing. It is really a nice place. It is one of the places we recommend to newbies.

Couldn't agree more! Unfortunately I just can't eat enough to make it worthwhile, especially since I mostly fill up on the grilled pineapple which is to die for LOL , mmmm now I'm craving some!

Love their salad bar. First time there, I overloaded because there were things there I had heard about but never had a chance to eat; went back for a second helping too. In that case, the meat was secondary. And have to agree, the grilled pineapple!!!!!!

Believe they still have a Salad Bar only price (no meat) at lunch and dinner, plus senior discount. Best Salad Bar anywhere.
