Where is the gas station in Brownwood?

Bonny 08-18-2014 09:44 PM

I do believe City Fire will be taking it over.

A friend of mine told me there is going to be a gas station at Sumter in the near future.

I can't substantiate his claim though!

There are two theories. One is that the evil Morses drove them out of business by charging too much rent and ten percent of the onion on the hamburgers or..

The whole chain is closing some locations. We have GREAT restaurant business here in TV for three months of the year.

Bonnie will tell us who the new occupants will be, and I am guessing The Villages is trying to find a tenant.

Next?

I believe the answer is that Friday's closed quite a few locations in the past year due to a downturn in their business. We used to frequent their location in Lakeland until they closed it about 6 months ago. Unfortunately they never seemed to be overly busy so it was not a surprise that they closed at that location. Can't speak for the Villages location since we just moved here in May.

The new gas station is in Pinellas Plaza and I imagine south of 466A is considered Brownwood?!? Just as south of 466 is considered Lake Sumter.

My understanding is that gas station will be part of the golf cart store that is being built at this time on the other side of Barnes and Nobles. Maybe only selling gas to golf carts?
The store will also be a service area for golf carts.

FlamingoFlo 08-19-2014 05:16 PM

That's what was in the paper a while back. Showroom, service, and gas for golf carts only.

Bogie Shooter 08-19-2014 05:19 PM

Why would a gas station servicing cars be necessary?
