movie for thurs aug 28

have heard that the film 100 Foot Journey is very good! i plan to go to Brownwood theatre thursday aug 28 to catch the four thirty show. the film runs for 2 hours twelve minutes....so with previews etc we should get out of the theatre by seven to enjoy the rest of the summer evening :) music at paddock square, ice cream at scooples, or perhaps tapas? we should meet inside the lobby of the theatre with our tickets about four fifteen. hope to see a few there!

I watched the trailer and it looks like a sweet movie and I love Indian food and food movies so I'm planning to come. Spoiler alert: the trailer gives away the whole story…

Had planned on going to see it but have to go to my monthly SGV meeting that evening. It is Italian night catered by Stavros and already paid my money so I can't cancel out now. Trying to do things here in The Villages is a problem at times with everyone involved in different activities, clubs, and groups. Enjoy the movie though.

chachacha - You will enjoy this great little movie, and where you have lived overseas in Europe I am sure you will appreciate the beauty of the area where it was shot.

I've already seen the movie, but will try to join you after the movie. I loved the movie!

yup, that is what we want at our age, a pleasant evening! no vampires, horror, murder, just lovely scenery and nice characters from normal life :) want to leave the theatre smiling! thanks everyone for the comments.....let's get a few more! :)

Saw the previews to this which looked like a cute movie. Will see you at Brownwood about 4:15. Love Indian food, especially northern, so this movie might inspire me to look for a good Indian restaurant somewhere. Any suggestions anyone?

chachacha 08-26-2014 11:39 AM

there is a great indian restaurant on 200 in ocala. the name is something like Amrit Palace...on the left shortly after you make a right off exit ramp from 75. really family owned by lovely indian people, great decor and ambiance, and most importantly, wonderful food! they are nice about helping us decipher the menu :) glad you can make the movie. see you there.

Sorry I can't make the movie this time. Hope you all enjoy!
