Back Pain Management Dr

Can anyone recommend a Good Lower Back Pain Management Doctor? One who doesn't want to jump right into surgery. Doesn't have to be in The Villages.

I went to Dr. Daniel Schaffer up in Ocala at SIMED which is Southeastern Pain Management Specialists. They do the steroid injections and pain mangement. I got the recommendation from Shand's in Gainesville. 352.547.1460

I agree! He's very much touted to be VERY good amongst the medical folks here in The Villages!

I have used, referred by my doctor, Dr. Sridhar Pinnamaneni. Two years and no problems. He has never recommended surgery.

Have you ever taken the drug Flexeril? A back doctor prescribed them for me in 2005 and they work great. I've taken them ever since whenever I have the pain. They are a cheap generic that you can usually get for $4 at most pharmacies. Unlike many painkillers, they will not give you a buzz, so you can take it and still drive or play golf or whatever.

My husband went to Dr. Spurrier, who is not knife happy, which thrilled us to no end. He referred my hubby to a pain management doctor (you will need a referral for pain mgt dr) and Bill's been very satisfied. He sees Dr. Pinnamaneni.

I'm chiming in again....same thing...again! However, I wasn't impressed with Dr. Pinnamaneni's office staff But if you can get past that...this is the way to go IMHO Dr. Spurrier is also very kind!!

Does anyone know what happened to Dr. Spurrier? I called to make an appointment and the answering service said the office is closed until further notice.
