A database failure has impacted all 8.2K Walgreen (WAG) pharmacy location.About half of the company's stores can't fill prescriptions, according to a spokesperson.A fix to the system is expected sometime this afternoon.Walgreen fills prescriptions at a rate of over 2.1M a day.

Yeah. Their software sucks - if you try to refill early, it deducts a refill and *then* tells you that they can't fill. Complaints are met with shrugs.

I was there 2 hours ago and the system is supposedly back up however one of my prescriptions is in limbo because the info was sent to the insurance co as the system crashed and they haven't got a reply. Not to worry I am told, all will be well tomorrow. We shall see.
