Welcome home Honor Flight Thursday night
 

Friends. Join me for a block-party like event Thursday night 9/4/2014 at the American Legion, starting at 9:00 PM. Scooter the DJ will be there, along with the Villages cheerleaders, twirlers and several thousand folks welcoming home the World War II vets from their day in Washington, DC.

This will be an emotionally charged evening, so bring your tissues. It will be an event that you will not forget. I have been to 12 of the events and I am never disappointed at the fan fare, the water canons, police and motorcycle escorts, and more.

It won't cost you a cent, unless you want to contribute to the next Honor Flight so that all World War II vets can have their day at the new World War II monument.

Bring a chair and a friend. See you there.

so glad i went tonight! 25 veterans and their "angels" arrived so happy after the wonderful, unforgettable experience...they were welcomed by a very nice crowd and the whole experience was very heartwarming!
