Car Wash

Our house is in Collier, where is the nearest car wash? Please give detailed directions as I'm not familiar with the area yet. Tom will fuss at me if I don't get the bugs off our car after driving from Michigan.

Take Buena Vista south. At CR 44 turn right. Go to SR 301. At the right corner of 44&301 you will find a Sunoco station which has a car wash.

Don't know about Collier, but the closest car wash to my house is my driveway.

I have been to this car wash twice and now I won't go again. I have a small crossover (Chevy Equinox) and the brushes in this wash do not completely clean the rear hatch.

Not really close to Collier but the Village Car Wssh in the shopping center off 441 does a fantastic job inside and out! We drove from Michigan to TV in May and my Flex was covered with love bugs. It looked like it had been detailed when they were done. It's a little pricey but its worth it!

From Collier go to Buena Vista. Turn north towards 466a. On 466a, turn right and go to Morse Blvd. Turn left on Morse and keep going past 466. When you reach Rio Grande traffic light make a right and stay on Rio Grande till it ends at Avenida Central. Make a right on Avenida and then a left at the very next light into the shopping center. The Villages car wash will be right in front of you about 200 yards.

At this point Tom should probably just take the car himself. (just joking) However, you want to get the bugs off ASAP. If you got any love bugs on the car they will destroy the paint job if left on.

Yes, that was the original plan and I was suppose to fly down. So much for plans, now I get to scrub love bugs off the car. He actually put some bug and tar remover in the trunk for me along with a garden hose. Lol, what a guy....

Don't waste money on bug and tar remover. Love bugs come off easily by wiping them with dryer sheets and water.
