Buffalo feeding warning

I see many people feeding the buffalo. 2 yrs. ago we stopped to feed them as we had seen others doing it. A visiting couple stopped to talk. The buffalo wanted our attention and more food and jumped up and head butted my hub in the chest so hard that it threw him back. Took his breath away. He was very lucky that no ribs were broken. Hub was sore for several days. These are wild animals. The fencing does seem a little taller now, but not much of a barrier compared to the size and strength of these animals. Please use extreme caution when feeding and visiting the buffalo. I would hate to hear of someone getting seriously hurt!

Saw some people occasionally petting them too. One or two buffalo did not seem like being petted and would try to bite the hand the also occasionally fed them.

Every time I see it I chuckle, but the sign should evidently be taken seriously:

WILD BUFFALO
NO TRESPASSING
SURVIVORS WILL BE PROSECUTED

Rhonda, my neighbor took her grands to see the buffalo. One of the buffs head butted her and she almost saw stars. She laughs about it now but wasn't to happy at the time.

Seems to me there is a sign that tells you NOT to feed them (or the alagators at LSL--if there is any) if I remember right.

I guess the sign isn't big enough!!! ;D
