Comcast--need contact email

I just got an email from Comcast saying my order is confirmed. I did not ask for an order upgrade. They are apparently shipping out new equipment and as a result my bill will go up over $30 a month.

I know I've seen the email of a Comcast person and I thought I wrote it down but can't find it. Can someone post it again for me.

Thanks.

Worst

Comcast has to be the worst or is really "slick". I had canceled their TV (went to Direct TV) and phone (went to AT&T) but kept their Internet. Because of the terrible stories I have heard about Comcast not taking things off the bill I sent a letter (Notorized-return receipt) to their headquarters in Philadelphia notiifying them of my cancellations. A couple of days ago my Internet failed for the first time in the last few years. I called Comcast and they said they could restart it and would I like to upgrade the speed for about $7.00 I said OK. The next thing I saw was a notification in my eMail advising me of the change in my Internet and the bill would be $89. I called them and said (a) I own my router and the $8.00 was wrong, (b) the $20 for some crazy TV service change was wrong since I don't have their TV and (c) another 1.50 which was not even defined. The net was they took the approximate $30 over charge off the bill and to disregard the bill. It is hard to determine if these are intentional deceptional overcharges or an attempt to "get one over" on the customer? I honestly do not trust them and they did not get to the 2nd worst Co. without reason. As an aside, I changed to Direct TV and really like them and the picture is twice that of Comcast. It is painful to try to find the channels we use to have and are now there but different. That is a small problem given how happy we are with Direct TV. Also, saw all the football games I wanted which was great. :ho:

I fully believe everything Comcast does is with intent.

yep. what happened is they sent a letter saying i was due for a modem upgrade. so I accepted it. well, my guess is that they took that as a tacit agreement that I was ordering the upgraded package that the new modem was able to accommodate. I never asked for it.
It's interesting but when I returned the old modem I asked if removing telephone would lower my bill and was told "wait until it goes up $20, then it will be worth it...not if it goes up, but when"
they must be doing this to a lot of people because you can't even get thru to comcast.
I'll be checking out magicjack and ooma in the meantime.

Comcast started charging me for a modem I owned when I switched to "Seasonal". Numerous calls did not resolve the charges despite their promises. I finally learned about Debbie Brainard and sent her an email outlining what happened. A day later, received a phone call form one of her assistants advising they will credit me with all the modem charges. I checked my account on-line and the credit was posted. It is not just Comcast, our daughter had a problem with Verizon Fios and ended up switching to Comcast.

Phone

When I broke away from Comcast and their bundled program I went to AT&T and signed on to thier program where they hook a little box up in your home to your regular wireless base and it works off cell. It is plugged into the wireless base and does not need phone jacks in the house. The cost is $20 a month both local and long distance calls. The only surprise I got that I wasn't told about was there is a $40 activation fee. So far it has been very good.:ho: ( I went to Direct TV and stayed with Comcast for the internet. )

The moral of the story is that if you are happy with what you have never never agree to any up-grades! That is where they get you! Been there... done that. Good luck busy. If you can switch to Brighthouse internet.

Amen to BrightHouse.

Opposite

Of course the opposite is true. If you are not happy with what you have don't be afraid to move on. I know I waited too long to get rid of Comcast !!
