Dropped iPad, cracked screen ....
 

Any local recommendations as to whom to call to replace the screen? Really don't want to drive to Orlando to the Apple store.

I hate it when that happens. Done that with my phone and camera. Hope you can get it fixed. Maybe you can order one on line.

iPad Screen Replacements

Be careful before going to an Apple store. I brought my iPad with a cracked and crumbling screen to an Apple store in Upstate NY and was told it couldn't be fixed, so I purchased a new iPad, although they did give me a nice discount on the replacement. However, I happened by a kiosk at a local mall a few weeks later who did replacement screens at a much lower price, had my broken iPad repaired, now I have two. So, when The Apple employee told me it couldn't be fixed, what they meant was they didn't want to take the time to fix it, and preferred to sell me a new product instead.

I had mine replaced ar MMD computer center inc. 109 highway 27/441 lady lake 352-750-3707. They had it done same day. Apple was only going to offer a discount. Said they did not replace screens.

Call MMD in Lady Lake at 750-3707. Son Damian works on these products and can save you a trip to the Apple Store in Orlando. Great family business and they are honest and do good work.

Grandson dropped Ipad a year ago and chipped the corner and sent a crack across the face. Used every day for over a year and it never got worse. Save your money. In a couple of years buy the new one.

Mine's a bit more than a chipped corner. I can use it but get slivers in my fingers from the spiderweb cracks. So, will probably give MMD a call very soon.

I have used CflGeek in Leesburg for repairs, they do all "i" stuff plus more 352-435-7822!!

Apple is coming out with a new Sapphire (synthetic) screen that is only second to diamond as to strength
