Reminder: Sunday Night Dances
 

just a reminder about the sunday night dances at Recreation Plantation every other sunday....there is one this sunday night. (sept 14)..doors open at six, light buffet served at six thirty and music starts at seven....ballroom style with some free style numbers...slow dance mixers allow everyone to dance and chat with new acquaintances...$10 at the door....overwhelmingly singles but couples are also welcome.

I'm a retired widow who lives outside of the Villages (but lived there in the past), would your unclub even consider allowing me to meet you other singles at some of your events?
Most of my friends are married and I'm looking to meet new friends. Thank you so much.

Recreation Plantation dances are every Sunday nite (not every other Sun.) thru Sept. Beginning in Oct. they go across the street to American Legion.

I see no problem. The "unclub" is just single people making friends. Very few "events" have been at Villages-owned, restricted facilities. They are mostly in private homes, and most of others in public spaces in the Villages.

yes i agree there is no problem for schmitty to join any of our activities...and thanks debbie for the correction on the dances...i cannot always keep up with everything :) i appreciate anyone posting here with suggestions for getting together in a variety of interests. looking forward to the return of kittygilchrist from Israel so those interested can hear about her experiences and impressions. more to come on that soon!

FYI music for 9/21 will be by Danny and Johnny, always great! not sure whether i will be going but just want others to know....

When and where is your next event?

this thread has no connection to the sponsors of the sunday night dance...i was just offering general information for the benefit of readers....i believe there is a dance this sunday night but have no further details...can anyone else help?

yes, they are every sunday night at at the American Legion until summer when they change to Recreation Plantation....really nice chance to do some dancing.
