Cinco de Mayo

We are going to be in TV April 24 thru May 4. May 5 is Cinco de Mayo and we were thinking the celebrations might be on Saturday May 3. Does anyone know of any parties, if so where are they?

Re: Cinco de Mayo

Sorry to burst your bubble, but, most 'celebrations' occur on the actual day...so Cinco de Mayo will probably be on May 5th. That's one of the characteristics of a "retirement" community....special events don't have to be scheduled only on weekends. But, we'll be on the watch for the official word.

If I understand correctly, any holiday, no matter how minor and/or obscure, results in a celebration here in TV. Nice! But because of this, I too would suspect that Cinco de Mayo will be celebrated on el cinco de mayo....

For the last seven years it has been celebrated on May 5. A weekend is really nothing special here. :)
