Seamstress for evening gown
 

As "mother of the bride" most of the gowns I've tried are are too long for my 5'4" frame. I am in dire need of a seamstress/tailor who could alter it for me.
I've had no luck finding one, most only want to do easy jobs. This one is a little too challenging. There must be someone nearby who does this work.

Please let me know if you know or have used someone that you've been satisfied with their work.

I also went to Alterations Unlimited in Ocala. Their work is excellent. I am also 5'4" and my gown needed to be altered. When I tried my gown on the seamstress noticed something no one else ever did. I have a slight case of scoliosis and one shoulder is ever so slightly higher than the other. Being an expert in the field the seamstress spotted this immediately. The alterations were done perfectly. Would I go back and use their services again, absolutely. Well worth the 30 minute drive.

Thank you so much I feel so much better about finding a gown that I could wear without the discomfort of needing 4" heals. I have very bad feet with a pinched near on my calf with enables me to wear very high heals. Thanks, ladies.

When I needed my mother of the bride gown I was having a tough time finding one. I went on line to Dillard's. They carry petite length gowns. I ordered. 7 gowns delivered to my villages home. I had a fashion show with my friends to help me choose. I sent the rest if the gowns back Ups. Didn't cost that much. I did call Dillard's in advance to make sure it was ok and the said no problem. I am plus size and short and my gown needed no alterations.
