Is Centurylink down for anyone?

The service line says there isn't an outage but I don't think just my connection suddenly went out.

I think there were problems earlier. I had to reset my modem to get internet. Was spotty this morning and then we left. Had to do the reset when we got home this afternoon.

Can anyone give me some feedback on Century Link Prism? Not sure who to pick for TV, Internet, phone. Thanks!

We switched from Comcast and love Century Link Prism. Comcast service was the worst and we feel we get much more for our money from Century Link.

I have had CenturyLink for phone & internet since 8/2007. Had Comcast for a couple of years and then Directv. Got tired of losing my signal every time it rained & finally quit in August. Decided no tv at all since I'm on my computer most of the time. Signed up for Amazon--not the best selection, but ok. Also have a VHS/DVD player. Bought my Mom some Perry Mason & Diagnosis Murder DVDs. Mom missed Hallmark Movie Channel so signed up for Prism & it was installed 9/9. We have had nothing but technical issues and it has even messed up my phone line. Numerous calls to tech support and the original installer(who gave me his ph#) came & gave me a better modem. Still having problems. Also found out the salesman lied to me about the cost. Talked to the retention dept & finally cancelled, will be disconnected 10/8. Just got my Oct bill online: what was supposed to be $144 for phone, internet speed increase from 3-10mbps, & the Preferred plan with 2 DVRs turned out to be $275!! Will be turning in the equipment on Tuesday and will fight for the bill to be reduced as I have traded emails with the salesman & have proof of what he told me. I found out there is a "verbal" contract; you don't get anything in the email they send except that a change will occur on such a date. My friend has Prism and has had no problems. Just BEWARE! Look at the bad reviews on their website. Good luck. Sorry for straying from topic.

To OP/Halibut: There was a message on my tv yesterday that said we might have reception problems because of the solar flares. The tv line comes in on the CAT3(?) line which they told me was the same as the phone line so that might have been the cause. I had no problems with computer today.

Have Centurylink, phone, internet, and Prism TV and have had no problems today. We are on fiber to the home..south of 466A.

We stay with the basics and the cost is reasonable.

On topic...
After a power outage I have to reboot my DVR receiver, then all is well

Thanks for the responses. Turns out I was wrong again in this life and it was just me. The repair person came and fixed the line today.
