Need a good book for Halloween

Any suggestion for a good scary Halloween book?

The Ruins by Scott B. Smith (2006). Young adults start out in Cancun and end up trapped by something really weird & creepy in the jungle. Even the movie was good but the book is better. One of the scariest books I've ever read. I also liked The Cell by Stephen King. :clap2:

Two very good choices. Stephen King has a new book coming out-- Revival-- but not until around November 11, 2014. http://stephenking.com/

The Ruins the book was terrifying. The movie takes too much away from your imagination.

A lot of these are worth a look. http://flavorwire.com/419194/the-50-...ks-of-all-time

The Haunting of Hill House by Shirley Jackson. The 1963 film version is also excellent.

"Hill House, not sane, stood by itself against its hills, holding darkness within; it had stood so for eighty years and might stand for eighty more. Within, walls continued upright, bricks met neatly, floors were firm, and doors were sensibly shut; silence lay steadily against the wood and stone of Hill House, and whatever walked there, walked alone."

It's old and also a movie that's been around for awhile, but one of the scariest books I've ever read (and I read a lot of scary books) is Salem's Lot by Stephen King. the movie was good and scary but not even close to the book.
