World of Beers

Has anyone heard about World of Beers opening in Spanish Springs?

Must be doing OK down in Brownwood if they are willing to open a new one in Spanish Springs.
Word was that Villagers would not be interested in anything but low end mass produced beer at happy hour prices.

I think that too many people believe too many stereotypes about Villagers. There are 100,000 people living here. They are not all the same.

I think that's what Zonerboy was referring to. WOB has a different purpose, in my opinion. If you want to savor craft beers, it's the place to go. If you want to pound them down, you would go to a happy hour somewhere. Perhaps the people who thought it wouldn't fly are the latter type.

I'm not a beer drinker, but we took company there last Christmas, and I was introduced to Delerium Tremens (sp). $20 for four at ABC! I still have three in the fridge that I'm "savoring."

That happens when anything is announced as coming to TV. Many is not a lot out of 100,000.

"According to the Good Pub Guide, the average price of a pint in the UK is £2.68 [$4.33] in 2010." So maybe it's $6 now.

I always thought in other parts of the world the local pubs were selling great beer for "Bud Light" prices.

Sorry, but that's not true. There are many fine lagers and especially Pilsners that come out of Germany any other places. In fact most beers tend to be lighter than ales.
