To My Canadian Friends

My thoughts and prayers are with you.

I join with Barry in letting our Canadian cousins know they're in my prayers tonight, especially the families of the fallen soldiers.

I also join in. It is so sad to see this evil spread.

I join in as well, and you have called it exactly what it is ... evil.

Barefoot 10-22-2014 06:53 PM

I am still in Ontario. There is so much sadness here today.
Thank you for your thoughts.

I grew up on the US side but only about a 1 hour drive from Ottawa and went there often . It`s a very lovely city .
And yes it was tragic but good to see that the Canadians called it as it was -- terrorism and they are historically a very polite people .
What do you think our Gvt. would have called such an act .

redwitch 10-22-2014 06:59 PM

There are no words to express the sorrow I felt when I heard of the attack on Monday and today's attack on your capitol. My condolences for the loss of your men.

Canada is our noble neighbor and friend. So sad to see the evil metastasizing.

graciegirl 10-22-2014 07:28 PM

I agree with all thoughts above and have thought of our friends north of us all day.

kittygilchrist 10-22-2014 07:55 PM

Peace-loving people...sad to see them called to arms like this. Bless you, neighbors.

This act has only made our country stronger.

This kind of thing seems to be happening too often and it seems like a contagion. It's very sad. I think parents need to be more vigilant in watching for any changes in their children's behavior, but I don't know what can really be done about it.

This morning on the Today show, they reported that the man who stormed parliament indeed was a jihadist, a lone wolf Islamic terrorist.

I think the tape aired above is so well said and the way this issue should be viewed. What a diplomatic and learned person.

I think that our beloved freedom of speech allows people to hear and be swayed by this horrible movement. There is no easy answer.
