No or Slow Response From TOTV using IE11

I have been plagued recently with very slow response time or no response from TOTV when using IE11.

If I turn on Task Manager, I see 50-100% CPU usage. I am pretty sure it has to do with the ads but I cannot be sure.

I do not have this problem on any other site.

I switched to FireFox for TOTV and do not have the problem.

Unfortunately, I am not a fan of FireFox and do not want to make it my default browser.

Does anyone else have slow or no response time from TOTV when using IE11?

Thanks,
Z

I am using IE11 also, saw the same effect yesterday. Note sure what was going on. Seems to be OK today.

FireFox with AdBlock or Chrome with AdBlock. IE is a mess.

I have been having the same problem the last couple of days, especially when I get an email reminder about a thread I am watching and click on the link to the thread that's provided in the email. The screen will go white, but I can see that TOTV is trying to load. And sometimes when I just try to open TOTV, I'll get just a white screen.

I use Firefox on windows 7. I know they have been doing some upgrades on the site and hope that is the reason, and that it will be temporary.

I haven't used IE for decades. I use Firefox. Chrome is way too big a program, and I don't need/want all the extra stuff it has.

It's slow with Safari on my iPad as well. Better with Waterfox on my laptop.

How is the speed today for everyone?

Use Chrome, Opera, or Firefox. You can install and try all 3, but ditch IE and Safari.

Make sure to download and update your java at least once a month.

How do you ditch Safari if you're using an Apple product? I have an iPad and detest Safari. Only use it when we travel.

Also Chrome with ad blocker...no issues.

I use FireFox for some sites. I made FireFox my default browser and the screens in some of my sites are really screwed up. Not to mention that the screens do not default to my screen size.

I hate Chrome. I suffer through FireFox.

I will stick with IE11.

What is your reasoning to ditch IE11 and Safari?

Technical or bias?

CFrance:Just download the Chrome App and don't use Safari.Get a google account and you can log in from anyone's computer anywhere(make sure you log out after)

Try IE Tab. Available for Chrome and FireFox. It lets you use Internet Explorer to display web pages in a tab.

I haven't used IE in over ten years ... due to issue upon issue.
I use Chrome ... good memory management.
Opera is also a good choice.
