I'm confused

I have just posted my Yesteryear golf cart for sale on the Classified section of this forum. My question is, when I click on "New Posts" I see other posters items for sale come up when I click on New Posts. I don't see that my item comes up when I click on New Posts, only when I click on the Classified section. Does that make any sense? Why would this be? I have never posted anything for sale on here before so I'm pretty unfamiliar with it. Thanks for the info in advance.

Check you settings to be sure that you are allowing the classifieds to show. At some point you were asked if you wanted to exclude the items for sale....maybe you checked it?????

Good idea but I see others classified items when I ckick on New Posts, so that can't be it. I'll keep fiddling and see if I can come up with something that makes sense.

My guess is that your post is not "new" to you. You have already seen it.

I clicked on "New Posts" and also "Show Classifieds" and I didn't see a Yesteryear cart advertisement either. I'm not in the market but merely searched to see if it came up on my computer.

I don't have an answer as to why it's not there.

I see the ad now. Had to go to page 2 to find it. Maybe I didn't go back far enough to find it when I searched earlier. Anyway, the good news is that's it IS posted. Nifty looking cart, by the way.

I have been corresponding with the moderator and have expressed that the show skip buttons are not filtering/adding ads as intended. Apparently the moderator thought it was my like of technolgical know how.

Well in staying with the threads theme I'm confused which in my case is a default position:D

If the button at the top says "Skip Classified Ads", you are getting Classified Ads and you have to click on it to get rid of the Classified Ads. If the Button says "Show Classified ADs", you are not getting the Classified Ads and you have to click on it to see the Classified Ads.

I know it is confusing and backwards, but I did not program the settings.

Please make sure that the button on top has the correct wording.

Moderator.

Well, you wouldn't want the button to say Skip if you're already skipping. A person would keep clicking it, then. :)

The text denotes the action you want to take, not any action you may have taken in the past.

Another silly question

My settings appear to be correct. Still don't see God cart ad when I click on new posts. Anyway, is there a difference between "items for sale" and "classified ads"? The reason I ask, is when I pull up classified ads, I see all kinds of things for sale from pictures to cars. ....but I don't see my ad until I go into the classified section.
