Dog's Side / My Side

I saw this posted on-line and could really identify with it. I would be hanging off the edge of the bed while the 2 doxies hogged the rest of the bed. And why is it that if you move a 1/2" they are quick to move in to fill that space?

It's their world. They just let you live, in it! :D

Never mind dogs - I had a cat that could edge me off the mattress a half inch at a time

This is funny. Cleverly true.

But I hope whoever designed it goes back and puts the apostrophe in to show the dog's. . .er, dogs' ??? possession of the space.

i guess if they were selling these, there would need to be two versions of the possessive noun. Apostrophe in front of the s for one dog and after the s for more than one. Or maybe they could include a detachable apostrophe that could be moved depending on the number of dogs in residence.

Doxies!! I knew a doxie who would stretch out her entire length, even stretching her short little legs, front and back. All the better to take as much space as possible. Always sideways. Always the width of the bed. She was not even supposed to be sleeping in the bed, but would wait until the opportunity was right and would jump up, on those short little legs  and take what she presumed to be her rightful place.

One of my doxies would stretch her short little legs out and press on my back as hard as she could (or it felt that way). Trying to push me out of bed so the two of them could have the whole bed I assumed.

Yes. I know. Not even pretending to want to be near you. Just wanting you to move.

I guess attitude is everything when you're that short. I love that doxie attitude. They think they are Great Danes. Such confidence. But sweet, too. And way too smart.

King size bed. One human. One Old English at foot of bed stretched from side to side. Human now curled into ball in middle of bed. One Maine Coon laying by human's back stretched full length, sideways of course. Human now curled in ball on left edge of bed. One American shorthair on pillow so human can inhale cat hair. One human downstairs on couch sleeping comfortably. At least until critters get lonely and decide to join human on couch.

God bless the fetal position because if not,
you would never fit on the bed!

One golden on dog bed at foot of humans' bed. (This took a full year of kicking him off the bed all night long, every night.) Magic hour of 6:30 a.m. arrives and his inner alarm clock goes off, telling him JUMP ON BED NOW! THEY'RE TOO TIRED TO KICK YOU OFF.

Yup. Always said goldens were too smart for their own good (or their humans).
