Grill in Summer Kitchen runs hot

Hi

We had our summer kitchen installed as part of the package when we built our house. Now that we have settled in I have noticed that the grill runs extremely hot. On low (all 3 burners) it is 500 degrees in less than 6 minutes and over 700 and still climbing after 12 minutes.

Has anyone else dealt with this and how did you resolve it?

Thanks,
Paul

as an old gasman.you can adjust the orfices for gas input, orfices look like brass hexagone in front of the burner, turn clockwise to lower input or call gas co. to adjust.

Check and see if the burners are actually on low. Is it possible the knobs are installed incorrectly? If you do not get anywhere, I would have an expert check this out, does not sound safe.

Has your warranty expired? If not, give home warranty a call.

Actually We are just out if the year warrantee but I have them in copy. The manufacturer says we need an additional "integral" regulator the installer and company that built the summer kitchen disagree. Effectively it is plumbed for natural gas and we have a 250 propane tank.

if the grill was made for natural gas and your burning propane the orfices are to big, orfices should be adjusted or replaced.
