Whistle at Lake Sumter Landing
 

I just returned home from an enjoyable couple of hours at Lake Sumter Landing. A band called "The 45's" provided some very good music.

One thing I noticed was that there was NO loud whistle on the hour of 5, 6, or 7 pm like there had been for the past 4 years. Does anyone have any knowledge of WHY this whistle has been silenced and gone the way of the buffalo?

You can't hear the whistle because you don't believe anymore.

I noticed the same thing. While I was at the new offices at LSL to renew my ID I noticed this lady's office window was right across from the clock. I asked her how long the whistle had been down and she said she never even noticed it. I'll go to districtgov.org and send an email to property management.

Seems like I read something about this maybe a month or so ago that people complained that it was annoying. Go figure

The steam clock blows no more.

Noticed the steam whistle has been back in operation for at least the past couple of weeks or so.
I think it's a nice touch and enjoy it.
