Six months seems to be the going sentence for sex in public in The Villages
 

Just caught an article on the box top pair's sentences in the on-line news. If I recall correctly the sex on the square couple received the same time.

Don't commit the crime if you can't do the time.

The mistake the couple made was location, location, location, in Lady Lake they would have been set free. Sumter is more hard on lovers. :1rotfl:

Absolutely ridiculous that they were even arrested in the first place.

I drove my golf cart to that spot and there is no way they could have been seen from the road or path. A worker going to do some cleanup work back there saw them and called the sheriff.

True, neither are stellar citizens and probably would end up in the hoosegow real soon for something else - but this was ridiculous!

Do you think the sentence would be the same for married couples???? Not that we are thinking about it or anything....LOL ;-)

I'm sure that the previous posters throwing stones have NEVER gotten frisky in any place that would have been "arrestable" if discovered.

What was done is over and the subject is 3-4 months old. They were sentenced and served or are serving their time.

Are we out of new subjects to cover that we have to dredge this up again?

You may be correct. i doubt the folks caught in the act in public are frequent posters on TOTV anyway. They are too busy having fun outdoors!

True for "Sex on the Square," but "Sex on the Box" were just sentenced. Stay tuned for "Sex in a Golf Cart"....bound to happen. I wish they would do it on the county line...one participant in Sumter and one in Marion. Then we could see how two different LEOs and courts handle it.
