Blind cat toy?
What toy would a blind cat enjoy?
|
I think anything with bells and maybe scented.

Try a ticking clock near a stationary play area...I saw a terrific cat tower in the classified ( Panjo) on this site. The cat will know where it is located by the ticking. This method could also be used for finding the litter box. Use diifferant " ticking sounds " for each area.

Anything to which you can add the scent of catnip.
Smear it on any toy you are able to do that to. |
Any toy you get him will be outta sight!

Cats have very keen sense of smell and hearing. Any toy filled with cat nip, such as a large sock or large kicker toy would work. You can be creative and make your own or buy something at a cat show/shelter/rescue sale. Also, a toy that makes some kind of sound would be a good choice as the cat would be able to track it.
Hope this helps! |
I got a cat toy at Walmart that my two cats love! It has a mouse at the end of a string that is connected to a plastic stick. The mouse makes a sqweaking noise and the eyes blinks. My cats come running when they hear that sqweak -- even when they are in the garage or in another floor in our house. When I can't find Kaylee, I get that toy and know she will come running when she hears it. (Kaylee is affectionately known as a tornado on 4 legs!) I can't remember the name of the toy but it cost around $8. My cats have many toys but that is their favorite. I like to buy them homemade catnip toys as the catnip is stronger. We also have a catnip plant in our rock garden.
We have 3 cat trees and they love them too! |
