Picking a Doctor
 

I'm getting ready to pick my PCP. Any input on Dr. Michael Glick would be greatly appreciated, Thanks.:wave:

Go to the Villages care system. Major improvement for me. I have been here since 2008 and have moved on from 6 different PCP. Some people may be defensive of there doctor but once you join you have access to all sorts of Dr.S for everything. They make it seam easy to get a good Dr. Just like back home.

Dr. Glick is a very capable, competent, very opinionated, outspoken doctor.
These are not complaints but characteristics.

My complaint would be over the years he has continued to add so many new patients he slid into the problem of over booking, runing late, and not taking the time one expects to spend with the doctor when it is your turn. Too long a wait to make an appointment when the need arises. A waiting room that at times had standing room only.......no thank you.....That is why we left his practice to go elsewhere.

We also go to The Villages Health. Very pleased. No long waits. Have been with them over a year. Had a condition picked up (and cured). My other docs overlooked had overlooked this.

Just FYI, Dr. Glick does not go to the hospitals. You may want to see who covers for him in the hospital. I, personally, prefer a MD that will come to the hospital to care for me if necessary.

That fact alone, eliminates him, thank you so much.

We go to Dr. Glick and find him to be very personable and competent.
