Best wound care in The Villages

Hubby has a wound from a knee replacement that is not healing properly. His Dr is in Tavarres and is sending him to a wound clinic there. I'm not sure they are the best, plus it takes 3hrs out of our day to go to an appt.
Are there any REALLY good wound specialists here that I could have the Dr transfer us to in The Villages? Thanks!

Why doesn't the doctor know of someone in TV? Shouldn't he?

Maybe cause they're aren't any that he would recommend?

I agree, but then where to go for a recommendation? Neighbors? I'm in a similar bind, but who to ask? Sometimes best bet is to fly back to home state and go to Drs and facilities that you are familiar with. There is really no way to know who to see here for anything. I guess you can get a recommendation for a dentist or eye Dr......but for anything serious?? Someone has a thread going wanting to know who to go to for a lumpectomy...that's serious and if you're new here and don't know good Drs...you're kinda stuck. I'm going for a CT scan and was told by my Dr and his entire staff to stay away from a particular, popular imaging place here in TV. So, I'm having most everything done in Ocala. Sad but true. I'm very happy for you folks that have found your perfect Drs. I hope these Drs can come through for you when you have a serious matter.

Before I moved to Florida I asked my previous doctor for advice on doctor's here. He did a little research and came up with a list based on their education and where the did their residency. Problem solved........ and he was right!
