Sanford off airport parking?
 

I need to leave my car near Sanford airport for 10 days. Has anyone used a good/safe parking lot lately?

Have you thought about taking the shuttle - would be less than the parking fees. I don't believe there is any off airport parking there - airport is too small.

yes, more expensive then to Orlando but much less expensive they paying for 10 days of parking

$12 bucks a day to park at the Sanford Airport.

Thanks. Yes, I know all about the shuttles, car rentals, and private car services. I've used them all before. They're not cheaper or less time consuming if you have several people or if you're not returning to TV right you land.

The big shuttle bus travels all over the place picking up people and goes to MCO first and then on to Stanford. It's a 3+ hour ordeal. Private drivers are much better.

I'm looking at parking for 10 days, and possibly a stay, park and fly hotel.

Yes, they gotcha at $12/day and no off-airport parking around there. Beware of the food prices, too.

I had a similar need, but with a very early morning flight from Sanford. We would have had to leave The Villages at about 4 AM to catch a 6:30 AM flight. I called the airport and they said that the cost of parking in the parking structure was $17 per day, out doors-uncovered was less.

Our solution was to make a reservation at the Best Western Plus, about 3 miles from the airport, for $89 for the night before departure. They have a shuttle van that begins leaving at 5 AM. Parking in their secured lot at the hotel for the week we'll be gone is $6 per day. The shuttle will pick you up to return to the hotel to retrieve the car and head home.

So the bottom line is $142 to sleep close to the airport and avoid the middle-of-the night drive from TV to the airport, including parking for the week...compared to $119 to drive there really early and park in the structure next to the airport.

Easy choice.
