Please someone inform me as to why 2 of my post have been deleted?

I'd like to try. Provide more information about the posts.

I was answering about the problems I had with Settar /Service Smart. And then I asked why my post was removed?

Bonny 12-01-2014 02:15 PM

Usually it's because someone said something negative or addressed someone in a negative way or maybe it was too political. I'm sure there are many reasons.
I had 1 deleted. They deleted a not so nice post someone made and I quoted it and responded so they took mine and the other person's so it would not be seen.

Go to the bottom of this page and click on Contact Us........that's where you get an answer.

drcar 12-01-2014 02:18 PM

Thats BULL, I responded to a post about Stellar/Service Smart yes I said things about thier poor sevice, BUT I look for that information here, and it should not be deleted. The other was asking why my post was removed!

villagetinker 12-01-2014 02:37 PM

Drcar, suggest you do as mentioned above and ask the moderator why your post was deleted. I have had posts deleted, when it turned out I had replied in an "expert" area when I was not an expert. In your case, I was following some of the discussions on this item, but was not following recently.
Moderator should be able to give you a reason in a PM.

drcar 12-01-2014 02:45 PM

I asked, no answer yet, thanks.

Polar Bear 12-01-2014 02:53 PM

What was your tone like in your posts? If like in this thread, that may be a clue.

I know that mods have a big job, but it would be nice if they delete a post that they also send you a message telling you why so that hopefully one would not do it again

There may be a clue in the Terms and Conditions for TOTV. Just re-check those first before getting too upset.

I have also seen entire threads disappear after they appear to be beating a dead horse and going nowhere. Also, if a post has been deleted, I have noticed that related posts will be deleted as "orphaned".

Not a big deal. Happens all of the time. This is a free forum and the owner has a right to insist the rules be followed and one rule that I have had enforced against me is "public criticism of the forum".

gerryann 12-01-2014 03:15 PM

I get deleted all the time with no explanation. I just figure I said something wrong......no problem....their forum, their rules.
