Thurs, 12/4, Rocket Launch 7:05 am

Just a heads up for you early risers, there is an Orion rocket launch scheduled at 7:05 am Thursday from cape Canaveral. Just after sunrise. As of 6:15, it is still a go.

It is overcast in the Springdale area so I doubt I will get to watch it. I will give it a try.

Looking out my window, it is a beautiful, foggy morning on the Orange Blossom Country Club golf course. I am going to go out and look up anyway.

zcaveman 12-04-2014 07:05 AM

According to channel 6, the launch is on hold due to a boat and rocket problems. The launch window is for 2.5 hours as of 7:05.

Delayed for now, a boat was in the range area. Yep, heavy ground fog here, may not see much. Waiting for an updated launch time.

villages07 12-04-2014 07:07 AM

Now scheduled for 7:17

It's overcast here on the beach also. Doubt if anyone will have a decent view.

On hold again for ground winds. Weather at cape looks clear, getting foggier here

Now at 7:55...still very foggy here

bkcunningham1 12-04-2014 08:18 AM

Now set at 8:26 a.m. I have a perfect unobstructed eastern view. The fog is lifting in on OBHCC golf course.

Mikeod 12-04-2014 08:26 AM

Wow. They just get started and another hold!

Still foggy here near LSL.

I hope it launches today, but it's been fun watching Orlando Channel 6 with live updates. It reminds me of the early days when everyone stopped what they were doing and watched the launches. This is an historical mission and is very exciting for the future of space exploration. Thanks for the reminder. I had forgotten it was today.

Scrubbed for today due to a "valve issue", next possible launch Friday 12/5 at 7:05AM
