TOTV completely unreadable

I am posting at random - cannot see anything. Page is completely covered with calendar icons. Worst it has ever been. Now I cannot even bring up edit options as I had been doing every other day to fix it. Funny how that's not available anymore.

If it is an iPad, try totally powering it down and rebooting. It clears up most of the issues for me. Something hinky since the iOS 8.1.1 update.

It is happening with my iPad, too. Powering down and rebooting helps only sometimes, but it is not a consistent solution. There have been times when the entire post area is covered with pieces of the picture from the top of the opening page. But usually it is the various tabs that are all over the place or blocked out.

Unreadable.

For me, TOTV is the only site where this happens. Is there an incompatibility with TOTV's software? Anybody else have the problem only with TOTV?

I started a thread on this a couple of days ago. I think the thread was called TOTV issues. Admin posted that they were aware of the problems using TOTV on the iPad and were trying to resolve them.

I powered off my iPad and also changed the privacy settings on my iPad. That worked for about 24 hours but now the problem is back. Although, it is not as bad as it was.

For me, just reloading the page clear the problem, but it can reappear when I change threads or go to another page in the thread.

Actually, things were going better until yesterday, when those icons started showing up again.

Another thing to try is double clicking the home button and closing any extra apps running in the background to see if that helps. It's quicker than restarting the iPad and may give some improvement.

Hope this helps. It is frustrating.

Seems like the new setup is a memory hog. Pages are loading really slow.

Print small

The icons are gone but the print now is so small and spread out it is still unreadable. Powering off does nothing.

It's still happening with me. I keep refreshing the page. It clears it up a little until the next time........also I Pad

Try This...

For those of you having problems on the iPad, go to the App Store and download the "Atomic Web Browser Lite"

This will eliminate Safari as the culprit to determine if it's iOS 8 or Safari.

The download is free.

Just cleared itself up - probably won't last long. Better read fast!

I was having similar problems and found a solution, For those of you with iPads, there is an App called Tapatalk that is available through the iTunes Store. If you download it, you can search for Talk of the Villages add it, log into it with your forum ID, and read and comment on the forums through it. It takes a while to get used to, but now it's what I use most of the time. You will need to look at the items for sale separately, though.

I tried tapatalk a year ago and didn't like it.....maybe I'll try again.

You can also getTapatalk with Android tablets and phones. The mobile format does take some getting used to, but it is quite navigable.

The issues are related to the new ios mobile. Other sites are also reporting issues to Apple as it is an iphone/ipad issue for sites with complex skins.

If Apple doesn't come out with a release to correct we will have to develop our own solution around it.
