Hello everyone,

My husband and I will be in TV on Memorial Day. We are doing our "preview visit". Is there a parade or any festivities on Memorial Day? We are so much looking forward to this visit. I feel like I have learned a lot by participating in this forum and I'm looking forward to meeting some people during our visit. Our house was listed this weekend so we are starting to look at places to retire. Although we want to visit other communities to see and compare, TV is at the top of our list.

Thank you and looking forward to our visit. By the way, we live in Barrington, Il (a suburb of Chicago) and I've noticed there are quite a few people from Chicago who participate in TOTV.

Re: Memorial Day

There's a "proper" observance, usually at 10 am, at The Villages Veterans Memorial Park. Just east of Paige Place on the west side of 441/27, north of the golf cart bridge, across the lake from Hacienda Rec Center. Lasts maybe an hour.

Not much else, though. Can't recall any parade.
