Cooking Ethnic Foods
 

Does anyone on here like to cook their own Mexican food? I do because it is always better than what I can find eating out. We are from AZ and a bit spoiled. So I bought some fresh Anaheim peppers at the Farmers Market and tonight stuffed them and baked them. Since I never use a recipe it is always very creative and 99% of the time very tasty. Tonight was excellent.

I am thinking it would be fun to have a small group of people who like to cook ethnic foods and do a group dine-a-round once a month.

"Anaheim peppers are a mild variety of chili pepper used in Mexican and Southwestern cooking".

I do some pretty good curry dishes too. Nothing is ever bland.

I talked about the lack of ethnic foods in this area and got nailed a few times. We are from Ca. and miss that aspect when we are here. Love the hot stuff including Jamaican jerk, Thai and Mexican. Taken a few cooking classes including Thai in Chiang Mai. Leaving for Akumal on Thursday and looking forward to some good Mexican.

What do you mean you got "nailed"? Is it not politically correct to mention ethnic foods? Not that I really care... just curious.

Yes I love spice tasty hot foods too. :pepper2:

This sounds like a great idea. We moved from Denver, and miss the green chile in particular. There was a great variety of ethnic foods that we now get in Orlando. We cook Vietnamese , Thai, Mexican on occasion
