New year's day

January 1 will be our first day inTV AND WE WILL NEED TO BUY GROCERIES.
Please let us know which grocery stores are open on New Year's Day. Do you have a preference of one over another?

Also will any restaurants be open? :mmmm:

We will be in the St James Village area.

Thank you and best wishes for a happy, healthy new year to all.

We have three super Walmarts in the general area and I am pretty sure they are open.

Welcome to Lower Paradise.

I'm pretty sure Publix stores will be open New Years Day. Walmart is open for sure. Welcome aboard.

redwitch 12-18-2014 07:54 AM

Walmart will be on regular, open 24 hours schedule. Publix will close at 7:00 pm. Winn-Dixie will be open until 11:00 pm.

If you're renting, be aware you won't be able to get your ID cards until the second. All rec centers and the sales offices will be closed.

New Years Day

Thank you for the replies. Glad we won't starve on our first day in Paradise.

Getting a gate pass isn't dependent on having the I.D Card ,is it?

Thank you Red Witch for the info about I.D. Cards.

Are the country club restaurants open?

redwitch 12-18-2014 11:52 PM

Gate pass is the responsibility of the homeowner to provide to you. Not all homeowners give them to renters. While a mild inconvenience, it is easy to go to the visitors side of an entrance and push the button. You really don't need a gate pass but it is nice to have.

Can't say positively about restaurants, but I'm sure many are open.

We are arriving the same evening. Forgot about possible closures for New Years. We are staying near Cane Garden CC. Anyone know if they will be Open or is there a way to find out which ones are open?
